For stock Predator 212 engines, the recommended valve lash specifications are as follows: Intake Valve Lash: Between 0.004 to 0.006 inches Exhaust Valve Lash: Between 0.006 to 0.008 inches Remember, these values are crucial for maintaining optimal performance. However, keep in mind that engine upgrades can influence these settings. Checking and Adjusting Valve Lash: To measure the current valve lash, use a feeler gauge. Slide the gauge between the rocker arm and the top of the valve. It should fit snugly but without too much resistance. Loosen the nuts on the rocker arms and adjust the lash according to the recommended specifications for intake and exhaust valves. Remember that the engine needs to be at top dead center (piston at its highest point) when setting valve lash.

I got a free go kart. It has a predator engine that runs well. At first I thought I just needed to mount the tires and put the chain back on. But the chain was a little too long. So I mounted the tires than fixed the chain. But the axel seems to be bent. The chain tightens and loosens as it rotates. The main issue is the axel hex. So all the hardware on it is also hex. hex. Hex axles are not very common... I could change out for a round axle but then the wheels would not work on it. I hate when projects keep getting more and more complicated.

I used to think those cars that die at every complete stop were stupid, until I was told no, that's the best hybrid system you could have, because the engine doesn't have to be engineered to idle and the power requirement is easily met with regenerative braking, and because the starter motor is already reduced, you don't need a first gear. I wonder if these starter motors are capable of such a thing too, because you could potentially have a two speed transmission. I always enjoyed taking off with the starter motor in my neon.

Take the junk super charger off and your motor will make more power cause that charger you are using has been tested by other people and it literally robs so much power just to turn it on a V8 motor so you know it’s a big drag on that mower motor

The BEST money spent on a 4-stroke engine in search of more horsepower 100% of the time IS headwork... ALWAYS. Whether it be a 4-cylinder car engine, a V-8, or a 1-cylinder small equipment engine, when planning a build-up, start with the BEST head that you can afford. An engine is basically just an air pump, and the MORE air you can get it to draw in on the intake stroke, the MORE power it IS going to make. With larger V-8 automobile engines, the N/A h.p. output of the engine is typically whatever the C.F.M.s of air that the intake port of the head flows @ at a pressure equal to 28 inches of water, then times the resulting flow ×2, is equal to what the peak h.p. of the engine will be. For example, if the intake port flows 250cfm's of air at a pressure = to 28" of water in a column, with the valve at the maximum lift that your cam will open it at, the engine WILL produce approximately 500h.p. when the rest of the components of the engine are also selected to match that number, such as carburetor size, camshaft, exhaust, intake, and so on. That may be slightly confusing, BUT it helps to illustrate how IMPORTANT head port flow is to making horsepower. A V8 car engine with a 240cfm head flow will make approx. 480h.p., while one with a 500cfm head flow will make about 1000h.p. Head flow is HUGE for making power. Start with the BEST head you can afford, and then select the rest of the parts to match the h.p. number that the head will support. 👍

While it might be a "lazy" man's performance engine for some, for me, I'm too f'ing busy at my day job and with tending to the fam and home to find any time left to tinker with mini bike motors (did manage to find time to watch this vid while dropping a dookie). Because of the poor rod to stroke length ratio in these engines, you do see a lot of skirt wear in the bore. Just the name of the game.
